The Bee Line
In Larkspur Hollow, late September means apple cider, goldenrod, and county-fair ribbons. This year it also means June Ashby laughing out loud when the pompous honey judge calls her rival's prize honey a fake. By the next morning the judge is dead at the edge of June's apiary, two of her hives have moved in the night, and his reading glasses are sitting inside her locked honey house. To clear her name, June will need her bees, her nosy neighbors, a skittish greyhound named Biscuit, and possibly the far-too-helpful new cider maker, because whoever is framing her has a key to her barn.
